What to expect
The public course is the full Standard Mental Health First Aid program — the same nationally recognised training delivered across Australia, run locally so you don’t lose two days to travel. It’s interactive from the start: you’ll learn a practical action plan, talk through real situations, and practise the conversations in a small, supportive group.
You’ll cover how to recognise and respond to depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance-use problems, plus crisis situations like suicidal thoughts, panic attacks and traumatic events. Come as an individual, a couple of colleagues, or a whole committee — everyone leaves with the same three-year accreditation.
Every public course offers three ticket tiers so cost is never the reason someone misses out.
Individuals and self-funded attendees.
Staff or volunteers of a not-for-profit or community organisation.
Students, pensioners and healthcare card holders.
NFP tickets are honesty-based — we simply ask for your organisation’s name, with no verification. Courses run with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 24 participants.
Book a seat on the next public course, or arrange private training for your workplace, club or community group — we come to you.
